Title: *|FNAME|*, Welcome to 2017
Dear *|FNAME|*,
I wish you a loving, joyful, peaceful and victorious year 2017. If you continue to live by faith and walk in love, you can be confident that victory will be yours in every aspect (1 John 5:4, Galatians 5:6).
*|FNAME|*, God is the source of all things good and perfect. He is not just a means to an end; He is the end in itself. The Lord is your exceedingly great reward (James 1:17, Genesis 15:1). God is not only worthy because of what He does, He is worthy because of who He is. When you seek the Kingdom above all else, God guarantees to add every other thing you need into your life (Matthew 6:33). Can you trust God with your life?
Your progress in life is always connected to the decisions you make. The most important resolution you can make every year is to draw near to God; to make Jehovah God your supreme goal and to seek a deeper relationship with Him above all else. Your desire must be to honour God in all your ways and to give all of yourself to Him without hypocrisy or reservation. 2017 is your year of drawing near!
*|FNAME|*, the difference between wisdom and foolishness is the attitude you show towards truth. Wisdom is the ability to discern and obey truth. The Word of God is Truth (John 17:17). Foolish people habitually reject, despise or ignore truth. They have a poor attitude towards the Word of God and the Church of God because they are either too smart or too silly (Matthew 7:24).
The ultimate proof of spiritual health is fellowship (1 John 1:5-7). When you’re not interested in daily quiet time with God or weekly church meetings, it proves that you’re spiritually sick. Those who habitually abstain from genuine fellowship are walking in spiritual darkness. The solution to this is repentance and consecration.
*|FNAME|*, repentance means that you humble yourself before God and turn away from the works of the flesh such as idolatry, immorality, lying, covetousness, pride and selfishness (Galatians 5:19-21). Consecration means that you rededicate yourself to God and live a life of obedience to do His will and advance His Kingdom (Romans 12:1-2).
