Title: *|FNAME|*, Is Your Faith Working?
Dear *|FNAME|*,
The Lord will perfect all that concerns you. Never cast away your confidence in Him. Be patient and keep doing the will of God, for your reward is near (Hebrews 10:35-36).
*|FNAME|*, Christianity is the surest source of hope you can ever have in this life. True believers have the Blessed Hope of Salvation, a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul (Titus 2:13, Hebrews 6:19). This hope involves everlasting life with the Lord Jesus Christ in Heavenly Paradise. However, the Christian life is not just ‘a pie in the sky’. You can enjoy the realities of Heaven on earth! These realities are delivered to us through faith. This is why the Bible says that the just shall live by faith (Romans 1:17, Habakkuk 2:4)
What is faith? Faith is the substance of things hoped for (Hebrews 11:1). Hope is future; Faith is now! Faith gives substance to Hope. Faith is confidence to live in the realities of God’s Word. By faith we understand that the worlds were created by the Word of God (Hebrews 11:3). Everything that is seen (physical matter) was created from what cannot be seen (spiritual matter). Faith is spiritual matter! The entire universe with its billion galaxies came out from the spirit realm by the spoken Word of God. Therefore, you should know that the spiritual is infinitely greater and more real than the physical. The physical is a subset of the spiritual (2 Corinthians 4:18).
*|FNAME|*, faith is not positive thinking. Faith is based on God’s Word! This means that the level of your faith corresponds to how much of the Word of God that is actively resident in your spirit (i.e. your heart). Faith is not physical sense (what you see, hear, smell, taste or feel). Facts are based on what your physical senses can perceive, However, facts can and do change from time to time. Therefore, you cannot afford to build your life on facts alone. In contrast, Faith is spiritual perception based on Truth. What is Truth? It is everything that God says! Truth is spiritual and it never changes. Truth is the Word of God which lasts forever (John 17:17, Psalm 119:89).
How does the Word get into your spirit? It is through reading, hearing, meditation and confession. Faith comes by hearing the Word! (Romans 10:17). This implies: No Word, No Faith! How can you increase your faith? It is through fellowship with the Word and Spirit. This is accelerated by your genuine fellowship with true believers. Your consistent fellowship with people who practise ‘faith, hope and love’ will help raise your ‘faith, hope and love’ to the next level.
*|FNAME|*, God is a Spirit and He is the Father of spirits (John 4:24, Hebrews 12:9). Through the Lordship of Jesus, you have become a child of God, recreated in His image. You are a spirit, you have a soul and live in a body (1 Thessalonians 5:23). Whenever you pray with confidence in line with God’s will (as revealed in His Word), you can be certain that He hears you. And if you know that God hears you, you can be sure that your requests are granted the very moment you prayed (1 John 5:14-15).
The answers to your legitimate requests are first released in the spirit realm. It is the exercise of your faith that gets them delivered from the spirit to the physical. If you believe that you have received when you prayed, your job then is to keep thanking God for the goods you have received in the spirit and keep speaking (confessing, commanding) the delivery of your goods to the physical. You are to hold fast the confession of your faith until your goods are delivered to you in the physical (Mark 11:22-24, Philippians 4:6).
