What is the way of escape from ‘temptations and trials’ according to 1 Corinthians 10:13?
- The way of escape is the way into victory!
- Victory includes ‘growing and development of character’
- The way of escape does not necessarily mean an immediate escape from the undesirable situation. This is because the adversity was permitted by God to help you grow and develop character
- The way of escape is wisdom!
- Proverbs 4:5-9, James 1:5
- Wisdom is insight and understanding into God’s ways of doing things!
- Wisdom is light and revelation, Ephesians 1:17-19
- Wisdom comes from above; smartness comes from below, James 3:15-17
- Wisdom comes from the Father
- Wisdom comes from the Word
- Wisdom comes from the Spirit
- Wisdom is the principal thing!
- Wisdom helps you to grow unto spiritual maturity
- Wisdom always leads to victory!
How can I get wisdom?
- The fear (reverence, honour) of the Lord, Proverbs 9:10
- The Word of God (Logos), Psalm 119:105, Romans 15:4
- The Spirit of God (Rhema), John 16:13
- Prayer, Psalms 16:8-11
- Fellowship, 1 John 1:5-7
- Pastors and Teachers (Mentors), Ephesians 4:11-15
- Patient endurance, Romans 5:4
