Who invented prayer?
- Prayer is God’s idea, not man’s!
- God created you for worship and fellowship
- God wants you to rely and depend upon Him
- Prayer is communication with God
- Jeremiah 33:3, Acts 2:21
Who determines the course of my life?
- The course of your life is determined by the will of man and the will of God!
- The will of God is good, acceptable and perfect. However, God cannot force down His will upon you without your cooperation through the submissive exercise of your free will, Romans 12:2
- The choices of the people around you have a positive or negative impact on the course of your life, Psalm 1:1-6
- However, the course of your life is predominantly determined by your free will (all the choices you have made and are making currently), Hebrews 10:7, James 4:7
- The current state of your life is a product of all the choices you have made, Deuteronomy 30:15-20
Is the will of God automatic in my life?
- No. It absolutely depends on how you respond
- Prayer is cooperation with God!
- Prayer is synchronisation with God’s will, Luke 11:2
- The will of God is revealed in God’s Word
- You cannot pray down the will of God without knowing the will of God
- Faith is the bridge between the spiritual and the physical
- Without faith, you cannot implement the will of God
- Faith comes by hearing the Word of God in your spirit, Romans 10:17
- Faith comes by paying attention to what God has said and what God is saying!
Who should I pray to?
- You pray to the Father, Luke 11:2, John 16:23
- You act (function, pray and exercise authority) in the Name of Jesus, John 14:13, Philippians 2:9-11
- You chat (have conversations) with the Holy Spirit, John 14:26, 16:13-14
