Who is a virgin?
- a pure undefiled unmarried person
- A potential bride!
Who is a bride?
- A woman about to be married to a man
Who is a bridegroom?
- A man about to marry a woman
Who is a bridesmaid?
- Friends of the bride that attend to her before and during the wedding
What is marriage?
- the legal union of a man and a woman before God and society as husband and wife
What is a wedding?
- the marriage ceremony
Who is the bridegroom in the story of Matthew 25:1-13 KJV?
- The Lord Jesus Christ
Where is the bride in the story of Matthew 25:1-13 KJV?
- the bride is not directly mentioned
Who are the virgins in the story of Matthew 25:1-13 KJV?
- The virgins are the potential bride. They are not bridesmaids!
- The virgins represent believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, awaiting the Rapture
Who went in with Christ into His wedding in the story of Matthew 25:1-13 KJV?
- The wise virgins – the true and faithful believers
- Only true and faithful believers will make the Rapture!
Who was shut out of the wedding in the story of Matthew 25:1-13 KJV?
- The foolish virgins – false and unfaithful believers
- False and unfaithful believers will be left behind!
What made the difference between the wise and foolish virgins?
- Having oil in their lamps
What does the lamp of a believer represent?
- The heart (spirit)
- The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, Proverbs 20:27
- All the virgins were willing to receive the bridegroom and enter His wedding
What does oil in the lamp of a believer represent?
- The oil is the fuel of the lamp
- The oil enables ‘the fire and the light’ of the lamp
- The oil Is the Truth of God’s anointed Word!
- The Word is Truth, John 17:17, John 8:31-32
- The Word enables light, Psalm 119:105, 130
- True believers are faithful to the truth of God’s Word
- False believers are unfaithful to the truth of God’s Word
- Wisdom is the pursuit and application of Truth!, Proverbs 23:23
When will Jesus Christ come back for His Bride – the true Church of faithful believers?
- At the Rapture
- The Rapture is imminent!
- It can happen any moment
How can I be ready for the Rapture?
- Pay attention to God’s Word!
- Walk in the light of God’s Word
- Obey God’s Word and do His will
- Be faithful in knowing, loving and serving God
- No bridegroom wants an unfaithful bride!
- Repent quickly and forgive quickly
- Faithfulness = Faith + Obedience
Why was the door shut?
- At the Rapture, only faithful believers will be taken!
- Unfaithful believers will be left behind to enter the tribulation
- Unfaithful believers will have to demonstrate their faithfulness to the Lord as tribulation martyrs
