- He was hungry and looking for its fruit to eat
Why did Jesus expect to find fruit on the fig tree in Mark 11:12-14?
- He saw that it had leaves
- When fig trees have leaves, it also indicates they have fruit
Why did Jesus curse the fig tree in Mark 11:12-14?
- It bore no fruit for its maker
- It was not productive when Jesus needed it
- It was an hypocrite!
How did Jesus command the fig tree in Mark 11:12-14?
- He spoke to it in faith
What does a mountain represent as modelled in Mark 11:20-23?
- Any instrument of the devil to hinder your righteous progress
- An obstacle, problem, difficult situation, sickness, disease, oppression etc
How can you move your mountain according to Mark 11:20-23?
- Speak to your mountain in faith
- Command it to be removed in the Name of Jesus
- Do not doubt in your heart (do not accept or speak out your doubts)
- Keep speaking to your mountain in faith (daily)
- Believe in what you are saying
- Believe that what you’re saying will happen
How can a person receive from God according to Mark 11:24?
- Ask God what you want
- Make sure that what you want is consistent with God’s righteous character as revealed in His Word (God is under no obligation to give you anything that will not glorify Him)
- Believe that God heard you
- Believe that you receive it in your heart (let it become your spiritual reality)
- Confess that you receive it in daily thanksgiving
- Expect that you will have it in due time (physical reality)
What is the role of forgiving others according to Mark 11:25-26?
- Unforgiveness can block your receiving from God
- Unforgiveness can hinder your spiritual blessings
What is the role of thanksgiving in terms of receiving from God?
- Thanksgiving is a major proof that you believe that you receive
