How can I overcome difficult situations?

  • Not every problem will respond to your physical or intellectual efforts
  • Power is the ability to produce change
  • You need spiritual power to overcome difficult situations
  • Stop trying to fight spiritual battles with physical/intellectual weapons
  • You receive spiritual love when the Holy Spirit comes to live within you, Romans 5:5
  • You receive spiritual ‘wind and fire’ when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, Acts 1:8, 2:1-4
  • Love is powerful, working within you to produce change
  • Wind and Fire are powerful, working upon you to produce change

How can I be filled (or re-filled) with the Holy Spirit?

  • You need to be born-again!
  • Being religious is not enough; you need to receive Jesus as your personal Lord and handover your life completely to Him
  • You need to be willing to be filled with the Spirit!
  • If you are not willing for more, you won’t get more
  • You need to spend time in prayer!
  • If Jesus had to spend lots of time in prayer, you can’t achieve more with less
  • You need to ask and yield to the Spirit!
  • The Holy Spirit has already come; He is available to you – you receive Him by faith
  • You need to speak, pray and sing in the Spirit!

What are hindrances to my staying filled with the Holy Spirit?

  • The flesh wars against the Spirit!
  • Galatians 5:17
  • Negative emotions can drain you spiritually
  • Careless words can drain you spiritually
  • Indulgence in fleshly desires can drain you spiritually
  • Disobedience (unfaithfulness) can drain you spiritually
  • Tiredness can drain you spiritually
  • You need humility and self-control in your thoughts, words and actions
  • Galatians 5:22-23
  • You need to live by faith and not by feelings!
  • True faith is always and only based on God’s Word, not man’s opinions
