What was the judgment of the unrighteous in the days of Noah?
- The Global Flood
Who was taken away before the flood?
- The righteous (Noah and his family)
- Righteousness is defined by submission and obedience to God
Who was left behind for the judgment of the flood?
- The unrighteous (every other person living in the world)
- Unrighteousness is defined by rebellion and disobedience to God
How did Noah escape the judgment of the flood?
- He believed, obeyed and prepared!
- Noah was a preacher of righteousness, 2 Peter 2:5
- Noah persevered in faith, preparing the ark for many years, Hebrews 11:7
How did Noah’s family escape the judgment of the flood?
- They believed, obeyed and prepared!
- They listened, supported and cooperated with Noah
What were all the other people doing when Noah was preparing the Ark?
- They continued with the business (busyness) of life as usual!
- Eating and drinking, buying and selling, marrying and getting married
Who determined the timing of when Noah entered the ark?
- God told Noah and his family to come into the Ark at His own exact timing!
- God alone determines the timing of the Rapture!
- The Rapture will take those who are not watching by surprise
- 1 Thessalonians 5:2
How long did it take Noah’s family and the animals to enter the ark?
- They all entered the very same day, Genesis 7:13-16
- The Rapture will happen in a moment: the twinkling of an eye!
- There will be no time for last minute preparation
- 1 Corinthians 15:51-52
How many days before the flood was Noah and his family taken away from the earth?
- 7 days, Genesis 7:7-8
What happened to the people left behind on earth?
- They were all destroyed by the flood, Genesis 7:21-23
Where was the ark when the judgment of the flood was destroying the unrighteous (rebellious and disobedient)?
- It was far far above!
- 15 cubits above the highest mountain, Genesis 7:19-20
In terms of the Rapture of true believers, what does the Ark represent?
- Heaven: The Father’s house which has many rooms
- John 14:2-3, Genesis 6:14
What is the battle of Armageddon?
- It is when Jesus Christ will come back physically to this earth to destroy all the remaining rebellious people on earth
- Revelation 19:11-21
How long before the battle of Armageddon will the Rapture take place?
- 7 years
What will happen between the Rapture and the Battle of Armageddon?
- Great Tribulation (1st half of 3.5 years)
- Greater Tribulation (2nd half of 3.5 years)
- Revelation 4:1 -19:21
What is the qualifying criteria for making the Rapture of true believers?
- Faith and Faithfulness!
- Matthew 25:1-13
- Watching and Preparing, Matthew 24:40-42
- If you are faithful, He can’t leave you behind
- If you are unfaithful, He can’t take you along
- Matthew 25:14-30
How can I watch and prepare for the Rapture?
- Devotion, Fellowship and Service!
- 1 John 1:6-7
- Active engagement with church activities (Bible Study, Home Fellowship, Prayer Meeting, Evangelism, Giving, Volunteering) is a key part of watching
- The Church is the Body of Christ and you need to be an active member of that Body
What will happen to all the unfaithful believers who are left behind after the Rapture?
- They will be persecuted and killed by the unbelievers if they repent and become faithful to Jesus. These are the tribulation martyrs, Revelation 6:9-11
- Or they will deny Jesus, take the mark of the beast and become eternally damned, Revelation 13:16-18
