What pleases God?
- Your consecration and sanctification!
- Your separation from worldliness
- Your obedience to His Word
- Your giving and service to His Church
- Your conformity to His plan and purpose for your life
- Your humility and submission to godly authority
- Your work of faith, labour of love and perseverance of Hope
- Your gratitude and thanksgiving
- Your eternal salvation!
What is consecration?
- Consecration is presenting your body as a living sacrifice, that is holy and acceptable, to God, Romans 12:1
- The way you present your body matters
- Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. It is a place of worship!
- You are not free to do whatever you like with you body
- You are not free to pierce, colour, decorate, package and use your body (and hair) as you like, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
- Men, you don’t need to present as a woman by weaving your hair or wearing earrings or necklaces, 1 Timothy 2:8-10
- Embrace modesty and moderation. Otherwise you will distract yourself and others
- Women, you don’t need to have multiple body piercings or wear multiple earrings/jewellery, 1 Timothy 2:8-10
- If you have pierced more than one set, stop using them!
- Godliness with contentment is great gain. Always remember that God created you beautiful already, Psalm 139:14
- Keep your adornment modest and moderate in size and cost. Otherwise, you will distract yourself and others
- You are to glorify God in your body and in your spirit which are God’s
- True believers are not to be conformed to the customs and behaviours of this world. Rather, we are to conform to the Word of God
- Romans 12:2
