What is holiness?
- Holiness is moral purity!
- God is holy: He is righteous, pure and sinless – always doing what is right, proper and true, Deuteronomy 32:4, Isaiah 6:3, Revelation 4:8
- Holiness is being set apart unto God. This involves separation from worldliness and carnality, 1 John 2:15-17, 2 Corinthians 6:14-18
- Holiness is total dedication to God. This involves your consecration, sanctification and devotion
What is the opposite of purity?
- Corruption!
- We live in a perverse and corrupt generation, Philippians 2:15, 2 Timothy 3:1-5
- Satan is the corrupted version of Lucifer, Ezekiel 28:15
- Corruption always destroys what is pure and good!
- The devil’s goal is to corrupt your body, soul and spirit.
- The devil’s goal is to damn your soul
What is holiness in my spirit, soul and body?
- Consecration is holiness of your body. This requires self-denial: abstinence and moderation
- Sanctification is holiness of your soul. This requires protecting your mind from ungodly content and renewing your mind with the Word
- Devotion is holiness of your spirit. This requires fellowship, yieldedness and obedience to God
- Holiness is an act of true worship!

What are the benefits of holiness?
- You will see God clearly, Matthew 5:8
- You will worship God acceptably, Romans 12:1-2
- You will serve God specially, 2 Timothy 2:21
- You will represent God properly, 1 Peter 1:15-16
- You will make Heaven certainly, Hebrews 12:14
