- Give it all diligence!

- Add to your faith virtue, knowledge, temperance, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness and charity, 2 Peter 1:5-7 KJV

- Honesty and purity
What is knowledge?
- The Greek word for knowledge here is gnosis: general knowledge
- You need to grow in your general knowledge of the Christian faith
How can you grow in your general knowledge of the Christian faith?
- Study!
- Study helps you to be prepared, 2 Timothy 2:15
- If you don’t study, you will not be ready
- If you don’t study, you will be ignorant and shallow
- Read and listen to your Bible
- Read and listen to Christian books and sermons
- Don’t fill up your life with the junk of entertainment
What is temperance?
- The quality of moderation or self-restraint
- Moderation in action, thought, or feeling
- Habitual moderation in the indulgence of the appetites or passions
- Abstinence from alcohol
- 1 Corinthians 9:25
What are the benefits of growing in your Christian faith, according to 2 Peter 1:8-11?
- You will be productive and useful to the Master
- You will have clear spiritual vision
- You will secure your calling and election
- You will never fall (away from grace)
- You will secure your entrance into the everlasting kingdom of Jesus
