Why did Jesus curse the fig tree in Mark 11:12-14?
- Because it was unfruitful and deceptive! Hebrews 6:7-8, John 8:44
- Are you fruitful for Jesus? Are you committed to His Church? Examine yourself in attendance, punctuality, tithing, fellowship (Bible study and prayer meetings), evangelism and discipleship?
- Unfruitfulness is a product of unfaithfulness, John 15:5-6
- Unfaithfulness is a product of faithlessness (unbelief, shallow faith, corrupted faith, little faith), 2 Timothy 2:13
- Commitment = Faithfulness. You cannot be faithful without being committed!
What is a mountain in your life according to Mark 11:20-23?
- A negativity, a stumbling block, the work of the devil
What are the works of the devil in your life (1 John 3:8)?
- Temptation, Sickness, Disease, Poverty, Rejection, Conflict, Demonic oppression, Fear, Depression, Witchcraft etc.
How should you respond to your mountain, according to Mark 11:20-23?
- Have faith in God, irrespective of the difficulty involved
- Speak to your mountain and command it to be removed
- Refuse to doubt
- Keep speaking to your mountain and commanding it until it moves
- Matthew 16:23, John 14:13-14
