Springs Newsletter 2017 (12)

The Name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe (Proverbs 18:10). No matter what the trouble, never forget to call upon the Name of the Lord. If you come to God in faith and humility, He will not cast you away. The Name of Jesus (Yeshua) is Salvation!

Do you know that the Bible commands true believers not to love the world (1 John 2:15-17)? Ask yourself honestly if your heart is being dominated by the love of this world? Are you controlled by how much comfort and pleasure you can get in this life? Do the rewards of Heaven mean so little to you, apart from the relief of escaping Hell fire? Where is the love of the Father?

If Heaven is truly your home, then it necessarily follows that you are a pilgrimon this earth. Never forget that you have a divine purpose to fulfil on this earth. This is the true measure of your life!

Do you know what is so amazing about Grace? It is not the freedom to sin and do as you like. No! God’s Grace is a product of God’s LoveGrace is God’s supernatural power at work in your life, helping you to become and do what you could never be nor do in your own natural abilities. You access the fullness of Grace through faith and obedience (Romans 5:2, Ephesians 5:8).

Mercy is the entry level of Grace but there’s much more to Grace than mercy (Hebrews 4:16). If you will ever grow to become all that God wants you to be, you need more than mercy. You need to wilfully cooperate with God in order to advance in Grace. You have been made righteous (right standing with God) by the precious blood of Christ so that you can function like a true child of God on this earth. Righteousness is a gift of Grace (Romans 5:17). Righteousness is an empowerment to live right and do the works of God!

Do you really want more love and more power in your life? When you are filled with the Spirit, you receive power to function like Jesus (Acts 1:8). The Holy Spirit in you is a gift of Grace. Being filled is not just a one-off event of getting baptised and speaking in tongues. It is a lifelong continuous process of drinking of and yielding to the Spirit.
