What are the evidences that a believer is on fire?
- Faithfulness in following and serving Jesus
- Reaching out to bring people into the Kingdom of God
- Unconditional dedication to the things of God
- Generous giving to the work of God
- Staying connected to the Church
- Obedience to the Word of God
- Full of love and power
How do we lose the fire?
- Laziness
- Compromise (Sin)
- Wrong priorities
- Worldly (selfish) ambition
- Not fellowshipping with believers
- Losing focus (distraction, pressure, disappointment)
Why do I need the fire?
- Without the fire, you will become lukewarm (a religious hypocrite) or cold (a sleeping believer)
- A lukewarm believer is an hindrance to the plans and purposes of God
- A cold believer is spiritually sick and depreciating towards spiritual death
- The believer who is not on fire is an easy target for the devil
- The believer on fire will discipline the devil and overcome evil
- The believer on fire will promote the plans and purposes of God
How do I get the fire back?
- You must agree that you have lost the fire
- Believe that you can get the fire back
- Repent and make it right
- Get back into obedience and fellowship
- Fellowship with the Holy Spirit (talk and find out what He thinks and what He is up to, discuss with the Holy Spirit what you’re going through)
