Matthew 6:7-15, 31-34, 7:7-12

What is the difference between great faith and little faith, according to Matthew 6:30-33?

  • Your ability to trust in the goodness of God as your Heavenly Father
  • Your ability to focus on God rather than your negative circumstances
  • Your ability to persevere in righteousness and truth until God comes through for you
  • Your ability to seek God’s Kingdom and His righteousness above your material needs

What is the golden rule of having your needs met through prayer, according to Matthew 7:11-12?

  • Do unto others what you would like them to do to you!
  • If you want God to give good things to you, give good things to others. This involves giving your time, energy, skills and money to be a blessing to others, as the Lord enables you. It includes intercession, evangelism and discipleship (mentoring), Luke 6:38
  • If you want God’s forgiveness, you have to forgive others, Matthew 6:14-15, Mark 11:24-25
  • Selfishness and stinginess will certainly compromise your destiny in Christ and can ultimately make you miss Heaven. You cannot serve God and Mammon, Matthew 6:24
